Remember to Set Approvals at Remote Locations

By Chief Judge Kenneth M. Switzer, Nashville

A quick reminder that the Court returns to in-person settlements this week across the state at our regional courtrooms. In addition, we remind of the following remote locations, with dates and contact information.

Judge Addington: Hamblen County, first Wednesday each month from 9 a.m. Eastern Time to noon beginning April 6. Call 423-854-5160 for scheduling.

Judge Phillips: Weakley County, Dresden, third Monday of each month from 9 a.m. Central Time to noon beginning April 18. Call 731-426-0837 for scheduling.

Judge Tipps: Maury County, Columbia, March 22, April 19, May 24, and June 21, 9 a.m. Central Time to noon. Call 615-848-6743 for scheduling and future dates.

Chief Judge Switzer: Montgomery County, Clarksville, second Tuesday of each month from 9 a.m. Central Time to 11 (with the exception of June 7 and November 15). Call 615-253-6769 for scheduling.

Please note that all settlements in these locations must be scheduled.

We know that the drive to one of the Bureau’s eight regional offices can be long for some injured workers. We’re open to exploring other suggested remote locations, if you believe a critical mass exists and local officials might be welcoming. Contact jane.f.salem with suggestions on this, or any other way in which we might provide better service.

Looking forward to seeing you.
