Have you started to consider the exciting adventures that the new year might bring?

If you haven’t, here’s an idea: kick off your new year by visiting one of our remote locales for a settlement approval in 2025.

As a reminder, we schedule all approvals for the remote sites (no walk-ins). So read on to learn about the various dates and procedures for each location. As always, click here for general information about both the regular office and remote approvals.

And don’t forget to bring the $150 filing fee, the check for the employee, and the settlement documents to all approvals.

Clarksville

Since I’m in Nashville, I’ll start with information about our remote site. Clarksville is the correct location with an employee who lives and works in that area, under the standing order.

Chief Judge Switzer hears Clarksville settlements at the Montgomery County Courthouse, 2 Millennium Plaza, Courtroom 406, on the second Tuesday of each month from 9 to 11 a.m. central time.

The 2025 Clarksville dates are: February 11; March 11; April 15; May 13; June 10; July 8 (in courtroom 403 this month); August 12; September 9; October 14; November 4 (in courtroom 403 this month); and December 9.

You may schedule a Clarksville approval by emailing the petition for benefit determination along with your request to the Clerk at wc.courtclerk@tn.gov.

Dresden

Judge Phillips hears approvals on the third Monday of every month in Dresden at the Weakley County Chancery Court, 116 W. Main Street, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. central time. The 2025 dates are: March 17; April 21; May19; June 16; July 21; August 18; September 22; October 20; November 17; and December 15.

Submit your paperwork two business days in advance for cases involving permanent total disability, closed medical benefits, or death claims to WCCourt.Jackson@tn.gov.

Columbia

Judge Tipps hears settlements at the Maury County Judicial Center, but we’re still confirming the dates. Check back soon.

Morristown

Judge Addington travels to Morristown on the first Wednesday of each month. He hears settlements at the Hamblen County Courthouse, 511 W.2^nd North Street, in the General Sessions Court, courtroom #2.  The 2025 dates are: February 5; March 5; April 2; May 7; June 4; July 2; August 6; September 3; October 1; November 5; and December 3.

Settlements are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. eastern time. The documents must be sent at least two business days in advance. Contact WCCourt.Gray@tn.gov to set your approval.
