New Year; Use TNComp

By Penny Shrum, Clerk of Court, Nashville

As the new year begins, so do the resolutions – be healthier, spend more time with family, use TNComp… Make a resolution to upload filings directly to TNComp.

When you upload a document in TNComp, you may immediately download a stamped-filed copy. Court staff and the judge assigned to the file receive notifications that the filing was made. The court sees the same filings that you do in TNComp.

As a reminder, filing in TNComp doesn’t serve as notice to the other parties, nor does it assure that the documents are admitted into evidence. And documents only need to be filed once.

You can watch instructional videos on how to navigate the system by following the link here.

Notably, the court has made a change to accommodate additional numbers in TNComp. The office numbers on the docket have been flipped intentionally. The first number will continue to convey the regional location. For example: The first docket number for the Nashville regional office will be 2024-60-0001.

So make a resolution to upload your filings in TNComp. I’ve made a resolution to spend more time with family.
